Alexis Meier has always carried a sense for passion for advocacy and justice.

After completing a degree in Sociology, Legal Studies, and Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016, Alexis embarked on a journey to pursue a lifelong aspiration of becoming a lawyer. Graduating cum laude from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2020, Alexis immersed herself in the study of law with a strong focus on civil litigation.

Alexis first realized she wanted to become a lawyer in high school when faced with a sexual assault and the lack of support available for victims in the legal system.  Recognizing the need for victim advocacy programs, Alexis embarked on trying to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by sexual assaults.

After completing her Juris Doctor, Alexis joined a plaintiff’s firm and dedicated herself to representing individuals who were catastrophically injured in car crashes and victims of medical negligence. Many of her clients were children who had suffered birth injuries, which aligned with Alexis’ mission to ensure justice and fair compensation for those unable to speak for themselves.

Speaking Up For The Unheard

Now, as a valued member of Breit Biniazan, Alexis continues to be a tireless advocate for the vulnerable through her representation of victims of sexual assault, and victims of catastrophic injuries.  Her commitment to empowering individuals in need resonates deeply with the firm’s mission and reinforces her alignment with Breit Biniazan’s core values.

As an active member of the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, the Arizona State Bar Association, the American Association of Justice, and the Arizona Association for Justice, Alexis is driven to improve her knowledge and skills, and be involved in giving back to the community through legal advocacy.

Case Results:
Alexis most recently secured a policy limit settlement for $1,075,000.00 in a dram shop case that was highly contested due to abolishment of common law dram shop cases in Torres v. Jai Dining Servs. (Phoenix), Inc., 536 P.3d 790, 798 (Ariz. 2023). The victim was a 29-year-old bicyclist killed by a drunk driver.
