Attorney Kevin Biniazan recently received the Above and Beyond Award from the American Association for Justice (AAJ) for his exceptional contributions to sustain and strengthen the organization.

In addition, Kevin was elected as the New Lawyer Division’s representative on the Board of Governors for the Association, which also places him on the Executive Committee for the New Lawyers Division. The AAJ New Lawyers Division is a caucus made up of members who have been practicing less than 10 years or are younger than 35. The group’s focus is networking, fundraising, continuing education, and public service and membership benefits. Kevin had previously been actively involved in the New Lawyers Division as the Co-Chair of its Membership Committee.

Kevin is also the Co-Chair of the Scholarship Committee for AAJ’s Minority Caucus, which is tasked with fundraising for and selecting the recipient of the Richard Hailey Scholarship for a law student who is committed representing pursuing justice on behalf of people. Minority caucus has more than a thousand active and engaged members who host virtual and in-person events including community service projects, legal education, and membership drives.

At Breit Biniazan, we are committed to working with, and strengthening, organizations to improve the civil justice system thereby protecting our seventh amendment rights to the jury trial. Kevin exemplifies these firm values with his commitment to AAJ and other organizations, all while maintaining a successful practice where he is never shy to make full use of his client’s access to the civil justice system and jury trials. Kevin has won a successful verdict in over 75% of the cases he has presented to jurors. On average, these verdicts exceeded the final settlement offers by more than five times. Between jury trials and settlements, Kevin secured more than $15 million for his clients in his first two years of practice.

Kevin believes individuals who have been wrongfully injured deserve the most dedicated, passionate, and tireless attorneys who will fight for their interests against large corporations, organizations, and insurance companies. No matter how many clients Kevin represents, he appreciates that each and every client only has one chance to achieve justice for themselves and their family.  At Breit Biniazan, he focuses his practice on motor vehicle collisions, defective products, and tractor-trailer collisions, as well as sexual assault and child sexual abuse cases.

Kevin has been recognized as a Rising Star in 2019 and 2020 by Virginia Super Lawyers, and a Top 40 under 40 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers in 2019 and 2020. Kevin is the youngest trial lawyer in Virginia to be recognized by the National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40.

Kevin is a member of the Virginia State Bar and Arizona State Bar. He is a 2019 AAJ Leadership Academy graduate. He is active on several committees for the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and is on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Virginia.
